Launch of Energy Skills: content, ambition and drive

  • In practice

Last Friday we launched Energy Skills: a joint training program of TenneT, Enexis, Alliander and Refugee Talent Hub, especially for status holders. With this preparatory training they are prepared to work as mechanics and technicians in the energy transition.

At the beautiful, historical location Arnhems Buiten, the energy transition, opportunities and challenges, the labor market were discussed... It was an interactive, substantive and inspiring meeting. With Manon van Beek (CEO TenneT), Rutger van der Leeuw (CEO Enexis) and Wouter van de Loo (Manager Labor Market, Education and Retention at Alliander), who spoke about the importance of this collaboration for the company, people and society.

The hiring manager's perspective was portrayed by Younes Biyadat (Department Manager Maintenance and Disruptions at Enexis), who spoke passionately about people and talents.

The program team Froukje de Vries (TenneT), Marriet Boersma (Enexis), Iris Kolk (Alliander) and Houda Zaït were of course interviewed on stage. After they had answered various questions that chairwoman Wilma Roozenboom had asked them, it was the audience's turn. It was fantastic to see how enthusiastically they thought along, how constructively they watched and that so many people were curious about the 'how'.

Would you like to know more and/or contribute your thoughts?

During the launch we also recorded the video below with Mansour and Farid, who talk about their experiences during the preparatory courses they completed at TenneT and Enexis respectively.
